Health & Safety Committee
ICE has regional Health & Safety Committees that play an important part in recognizing workplace hazards, improving the safety culture, preventing accidents, and participating in developing and implementing programs to protect our employees’ safety and health. The committees meet monthly and have representation from each level of the agency. Our Key Policy Package and Health & Safety Policies are essential for creating a safe, respectful, and productive workplace because they provide clear expectations regarding behavior, performance, and responsibilities; protect individuals with guidelines for accident prevention, emergency response, and risk management; ensure the company meets legal standards while safeguarding employee rights; foster a positive work culture that promotes respect, fairness, and integrity, preventing negative behaviors like discrimination or harassment; maintain consistency and accountability by ensuring everyone follows the same standards; and ensure emergency preparedness through training to handle workplace emergencies effectively. Training
Training is vital to employee safety and quality service. We offer a mix of in-person and virtual sessions to maximize effectiveness and safety. Along with mandatory courses, we provide a variety of supplemental learning and tailored in-services. Staff are encouraged to grow through paid participation in additional training.
Our Training Calendar lists all mandatory and optional in-house sessions, including workshops that support professional development and skill-building. It ensures employees can easily access opportunities aligned with their roles and growth within the agency.
