Independent Counselling Enterprises (ICE) supports adults with disabilities to live meaningful, inclusive lives. We provide residential, non-residential, and support home services across Alberta. Our Community Support Coordinators (CSCs) are essential leaders who work closely with staff, clients, and families to ensure programs run smoothly and provide safe, consistent, and high-quality support.

Role Summary

As a CSC, you will support the oversight of several residential and non-residential programs. You’ll provide staff supervision, guidance, and problem-solving while ensuring client services are delivered respectfully and effectively. Each day may include reviewing documentation, coordinating schedules, mentoring staff, or helping respond to challenging situations. This is a leadership role that requires strong communication, organization, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor program staff to deliver safe, client-centered services
  • Ensure compliance with ICE standards, policies, and support plans
  • Review documentation, scheduling, and reporting for accuracy
  • Liaise with clients, families, guardians, and community partners
  • Respond to urgent issues and challenging situations appropriately
  • Support program scheduling, staffing coordination, and resource management
  • Promote teamwork, problem-solving, and a positive work environment

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Human Services (or related field) preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in community disability services (leadership an asset)
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable
  • Proficient with documentation, scheduling, and computer systems
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check (within 6 months)
  • Basic First Aid with CPR Level A (or willingness to obtain within 3 months)
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and $2M liability insurance
