Independent Counselling Enterprises is committed to providing educated, professional, and competent staff
to the clientele we serve. In addition, ICE feels it is equally important to provide our employees with
opportunities for professional development. To attain this goal we offer our employees a variety of
workshops to help them better understand clients abilities, disabilities, as well as the strengths and
the challenges they must face.
ICE ensures all courses meet or exceed standards of the industry as outlined in HIA (Health Information Act),
PIPA (Personal Information Privacy Act), FOIP (Freedom of Information & Protection of Privacy Act),
CET (Creating Excellence Together), PPCA (Protection for Persons in Care Act), and the Abuse Response &
Prevention Protocol. Our trainers bring a wealth of education, knowledge and professionalism, combined with
more than 40 years of hands on experience to provide our employees with the most effective information and
strategies available. All trainers are committed to providing employees with the knowledge & tools to do
their job effectively, competently, in order to assist them in helping our clients achieve a high quality
of life.
Hiring Requirements
Independent Counselling Enterprises aims to provide quality services to our clientele. In order to ensure
our standards are achieved we require prospective employees to provide us with the following minimum:
- Clear Police Security Clearance
- Standard/Emergency First Aid/ CPR certificate
- Two Positive Work Related Reference (No Personal References)
- Clear Tuberculosis Test (*within first 3 months of employment)
- Pro-Active Behavior Intervention (PBI) (*on-site training provided in this area)
- Child Welfare Investigation Search application (*response on file first 3 months of employment)
In addition we require all employees to attend Pre-Employment Training. This training provides employees
with an overview of the organizations mission, standards, policies & procedures.
