Training Specialist
Job Title: Training Specialist
Terms of Employment: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm flexible
Location: Office/Field Position
Posting Date: July 29, 2010
Closing Date: August 31, 2010
Salary Range: To be discussed at time of interview
Commitment : One Year Required
Duties/Responsibilities:
- All aspects of development and facilitation of workshops and staff training.
- Liaise with Managers to devise schedules for training and staff development in-services.
- Conducting on-site and one-on-one training with support staff as required.
- Assisting with employee orientation and maintaining staff resources.
- Meeting with staff & clients in the programs to assess/establish employee training needs.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Must have Rehabilitation Practitioner Diploma or related degree
- Minimum 2 years experience in a community group home setting desired
- Group facilitation experience required
- Advanced time management, organizational and effective interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work independently as well as a team player
- Computer skills are an asset
- Must have a reliable vehicle & willing to travel
- Extensive knowledge of CET an asset
- Certification to teach Foundations and CPI an asset
- Experience with workshop development an asset
