Registered Nurse (Community Supervisor - Home Care) ( 1 Vacancy )
Terms of Employment: Permanent Part Time, On Call, Weekend, Days
Location: Edmonton & Area
Start Date: Immediately
Closing Date: February 15, 2012
Salary Range: To be negotiated, mileage compensated.
Position Summary: As a member of the interdisciplinary ICE Home Care team, the incumbent will be responsible for the provision of care to clients and education to employees according to the RN full scope of practice.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assessments of client's medical concerns
- Performing approved assigned tasks as specified by the Alberta Health Services's Policies and Procedures and as assigned by ICE Coordinators
- Supervising and training Health Care Aides in performance of job duties as assigned by ICE management and in accordance with all agency policies & procedures
- Completing assessments for health & wellness planned procedures
- Performing client medical procedures
Qualifications:
- Post–Secondary degree in the nursing field required
- Current registration, including the supporting documentation, with CARNA required
- Knowledge of all delegated duties required
- Ability to handle stressful situations proactively
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team is required
- Vehicle and valid driver's license required
- Must have a clear Police Security Clearance and be Bondable
