Licensed Practical Nurse (Home Care) ( 1 Vacancy )
Terms of Employment: Part-time, Mon, Tues and Friday with alternating Saturdays
Location: Edmonton & Area
Start Date: Immediately
Closing Date: February 15, 2012
Salary Range: To be negotiated, mileage compensated.
Position Summary: As a member of the interdisciplinary ICE Home Care team, the incumbent will be responsible for the provision of care to clients and education to employees according to the LPN full scope of practice.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assigning tasks and supervising health care aides
- Performing nursing procedures
- Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Possess excellent attendance record, reliable and punctual
- Ability to work independently and in cooperation with other members of the interdisciplinary team
- Be flexible and able to follow instructions
- Compassionate and caring attitude
- Attention to detail and keen observation skills
- Critical thinking skills
- Support a respectful workplace
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a Practical Nurse basic program
- Current registration with College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta
- Current CPR certification
- A valid driver’s license and vehicle are required
- A Clear Criminal Check required
